THE SOCIAL SMOKER

By Bisa Studio

The Social Smoker is conceived as a centrepiece for gathering. Drawing on principles of kinetic design, the table incorporates a concealed track and a movable vessel that invites touch, adjustment, and participation. Its motion introduces a subtle choreography to the act of hosting.

Neither prescriptive nor fixed in use, the piece accommodates rituals of social life: smoking, sharing, placing, removing. The integrated element may function as an ashtray, a bowl, or simply a receptacle in motion, allowing the table to adapt to its setting and company. In this way, The Social Smoker frames interaction not as an accessory, but as the primary function of the object itself.
